Bennett Bigelow & Leedom, P.S. is proud to announce the election of three new shareholders
December 31, 2009 - Bennett Bigelow & Leedom, P.S. announces elevation of three associates to shareholders, effective January 1, 2010:

Timothy E. Allen. Tim’s practice emphasizes defense of medical malpractice matters, insurance coverage and bad faith disputes, product liability claims and equine law. He has participated in a number of significant trials, spending weeks at a time in the courtroom. He has also handled numerous motions, mediations, arbitrations and settlements for clients including health care providers, product manufacturers, and insurance companies. Tim was recognized by Washington Law & Politics as a Rising Star for both 2009 and 2010. Prior to becoming a lawyer, he was a professor of political philosophy and argumentation at Western Washington University and director of the university's debate program.

Renee M. Howard. Renee has extensive experience representing health care providers and suppliers in a wide range of regulatory compliance and reimbursement matters, including litigation and government investigations under the federal False Claims Act, the federal Anti-Kickback Statute and physician self-referral laws, state Medicaid issues, and health care licensing matters. She also advises clients on Medicare and Medicaid compliance and reimbursement issues, including appropriate structuring of financial relationships under fraud and abuse and self-referral laws. Renee regularly works with clients in internal investigations of alleged noncompliance with state or federal laws, and responding to Medicare, Medicaid and third party payor audits.

Jennifer L. Moore. Jennifer has nearly 10 years of courtroom experience in the defense of hospitals, clinics, physicians, and nurses in malpractice matters. She has participated in numerous trials, motion hearings, arbitrations, mediations and settlements. Jennifer also represents health care providers in regulatory and disciplinary hearings and provides advice on employment matters, including allegations of negligent hiring or credentialing. She frequently speaks to health care providers and risk managers on the subjects of informed consent, informed refusal and has a particular interest in E-Discovery. Jennifer has been recognized by Washington Law & Politics as a Rising Star in 2004, 2005 and from 2007 to 2010.
