FIRM NEWS
Seattle, Washington - Bennett Bigelow & Leedom, P.S. today announced that Robert G. Stevens, CLM, has joined the firm as its Executive Director.
"The Directors decided that moving to an Executive Director form of law firm leadership had become a natural evolution for the firm.
We are very pleased that Robert has decided to return to Seattle from Honolulu and join us as our new Executive Director," said President David Robbins.
"For many reasons - including Robert's experience in law firm management and knowledge of the legal market in the Pacific Northwest - this is a
significant opportunity for us and an exciting time in our firm's history."
Robert comes to Seattle after serving as the Chief Operating Officer for the largest firm in Hawaii, Goodsill Anderson Quinn & Stifel. He
worked for over thirteen years in several law firms in Western Washington before joining the Hawaii-based firm. During his tenure in Washington
state, he was the Executive Director for Ogden Murphy Wallace, Seattle, Washington, previously the Chief Executive Officer for Cascadia Law Group
PLLC in Seattle and Olympia, Washington, and Director of Human Resources for Gordon Thomas Honeywell Malanca Peterson & Daheim in Tacoma and Seattle, Washington
Prior to managing private law firms, Robert was the Director of Human Resources for Catholic Community Services Southwest. He also served on U.S.
Congressman Norman D.Dicks' congressional staff and managed one of his re-election campaigns. Stevens graduated from The Evergreen State College and
earned a master's degree from the Institute for Theological Studies at Seattle University. In 2007, Robert sat for and passed the Certified Legal
Manager (CLM) exam. Stevens has a history of being involved in his local community as well as taking leadership roles in organizations supporting
law firm management. He served as the President of the Puget Sound Chapter of Legal Administrators. He has presented both at the local and national
level on topics relating to professional legal management.
As Executive Director, Robert will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and leading the firm's Management Team. He will provide key
leadership in identifying, developing and implementing strategic initiatives for the firm. Stevens' extensive background in law firm leadership will
enable him to assist in identifying new areas for growth, strengthening existing practice areas, providing strategic direction, and to support the
development of talent within the firm.
"It is an honor to have been invited to join Bennett Bigelow & Leedom", Stevens said. "I've had the good fortune over the years to have worked for
some of the best law firms in Seattle and in Hawaii. It is exciting to be returning to Seattle. I look forward to working with the attorneys, staff,
and to be part of Bennett Bigelow & Leedom's future."
