9th Circuit holds federal government underpaid hospitals
Bennett Bigelow & Leedom obtained favorable decision from the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit in Portland Adventist Med. Ctr. et al. v. Thompson, No. 03-35612, 399 F.3d 1091 (9th Cir. 2005), vindicating the rights of ten Oregon hospitals to Medicare disproportionate share hospital ("DSH") payments. Sandy Pitler and Lisa Dobson Gould represented the hospitals.
