Our federal tax practice encompasses all aspects of representation in matters involving issues of federal taxation. We advise individuals, entrepreneurs, small and large business entities, and tax exempt organizations in the two essential issue areas of tax planning and tax controversy. We advise clients on how to organize and operate their businesses and activities to maximize tax efficiency and minimize tax controversy. We can provide our clients with critical proactive planning advice based on the current state of federal tax law affecting health professionals, health systems and hospitals. We also have significant experience in securing advance rulings from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) as to the tax ramifications of anticipated transactions. In tax controversies, our tax counsel has decades of experience in representing clients before the IRS in audit and collection matters, administrative appeals of IRS determinations, and litigation of unagreed cases in the U.S. Tax Court and U.S. Federal District Courts.
